Leadership Development Partner to People & Performance
Drive our future leadership! We seek an experienced operational leader to coach our managers and strengthen our leadership foundation. Be the catalyst for high performance and organizational growth.
About the position
As as Leadership Development Partner, your mission is to strengthen Academic Work’s leadership by developing and coaching our Team Managers into inspiring and successful leaders. You will play a key role in ensuring our leaders have the tools, skills, and mindset required to meet both today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. While your main focus will be on leadership development in Academic Work Sweden, you will also collaborate closely with our international teams.
Your team
You will be an essential part of the People & Performance team, working alongside dedicated colleagues across Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, and other specialist areas. Together, the team ensures that our business has the right talent in place — and that every co-worker and leader is set up for growth and success. You will report to Anna, our Leadership Development Manager, who brings extensive experience from operational, managerial, and international roles within Academic Work. This means you’ll have a leader who truly understands the business from every angle — offering both strategic guidance and hands-on mentorship.
What we offer
We offer extensive benefits, including hybrid work flexibility, 30 days of vacation plus shorter summer work hours, generous wellness allowance and time, and robust occupational pension benefits including Flexpension, all secured by a collective agreement.
Your responsibility
This role is all about driving and elevating Academic Work’s leadership capability, combining strategic thinking with hands-on impact. You will ensure that our Team Managers have the skills, confidence, and support to lead high-performing teams — acting as a bridge between business strategy and leadership execution.
- Design and deliver leadership programs and initiatives for Team Managers that are aligned with our company strategy and the expectations of top-class leadership.
- Deliver engaging leadership development experiences — from workshops and digital sessions to one-on-one coaching.
- Stay close to our Team Managers — observing, listening, and coaching — to understand their reality, support their growth, and ensure leadership development stays connected to real-life business challenges.
- Provide ad hoc performance support and guidance on complex leadership situations.
- Conduct needs analysis and use data to identify and address competence gaps.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align development efforts with business goals.
- Evaluate trends and suppliers to ensure quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in all leadership initiatives.
We are looking for
To succeed in this role, you need to combine solid operational leadership experience with a genuine passion for people development and business growth.
- Leadership Expertise: You bring solid experience from a first-line leadership role (e.g. Team Manager or equivalent) within a client-facing, results-driven environment. This experience is essential for demonstrating a deep understanding of a leader’s daily reality — including responsibility for performance, business outcomes, and budgets.
- Coaching & Training:
You know how to design and facilitate effective learning experiences, both live and digital. You are confident in 1:1 coaching and can guide people leaders through real challenges.
- Business Collaboration: You have a proven ability to work cross-functionally with key business stakeholders to drive measurable results.
- Analytical Acumen: You take an analytical and structured approach to identifying leadership gaps and development needs — and you know how to turn data and insights into concrete actions that strengthen leadership impact.
- Language skills: The role requires excellent proficiency in both Swedish and English, as both languages are used on a daily basis
